N3 Boatworks, a full service marine dealership located on the Northeast side of Indianapolis, is in search of a qualified marine mechanic. Our mechanics love working on boats and are passionate about getting boats back to the customer as quickly and safely as possible. They understand the satisfaction of finding the problem and fixing it, whether that’s replacing a battery, performing general maintenance or digging into electrical or audio repairs.
At N3 Boatworks, you will be part of a close-knit team that often feels more like family. Marine experience is not a requirement, but experience working on GM motors is preferred.

Responsibilities include:
Examine boat and discuss the nature and extent of malfunction with the service manager
Perform diagnostics and repair all types of inboard marine engines and transmissions/drives
Perform mechanical work such as replace carburetors, blowers, distributors, starters, electrical and fuel system; rewire ignition systems, lights and instrument panel; replace and adjust taillights; install and repair accessories such as audio systems, heaters, mirrors and ballast systems
Operate a hydraulic jack or hoist as needed
Complete repair work within the established timeframe
Ensure all warranty work is completed according to the manufacturer's guidelines
Maintain tools in good condition and according to guidelines

Position Overview: The Service Advisor/Writer has the opportunity to interact with our customers to build customer loyalty by developing a relationship with the customer and ensuring confidence in N3 Boatworks as the premier boat dealer in Indiana. This role requires someone who is passionate about taking care of the customer. This role demands organization as he/she will juggle many customers, priorities, communication and follow-up throughout the day.
What are the day-to-day responsibilities?
Greeting customers promptly
Setting and confirming appointments with customers to expedite their service experience
Obtaining customer and boat/trailer information
Clearly reporting all symptoms as described by the customer
Determining and recommending needed maintenance base on age, hours and history of boat/trailer
Prepare a complete and accurate estimate of cost for labor and parts
Establish follow up time
Monitor the progress of the repair throughout the day, and updating customers frequently
Verifying that the final invoice reconciles with the work performed on the repair order
Explaining all completed work and charges to customers
Providing an exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty
Maintain the appearance of the service desk and surrounding areas
What are the requirements for this job?
High School diploma or equivalent
Minimum 1 year experience in a Service Advisory role
Positive attitude
Proven ability to provide an exceptional customer experience
Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills
Organization and follow-up skills
Basic experience and understanding of a PC and Microsoft products
Must be able to work 8am-5pm Monday-Friday and the occasional Saturday 9am-2pm
Pay: Hourly pay plus bonuses

Position Overview: N3 Boatworks is currently looking for a boat transporter who can also handle the coordination of our facilities. The Boat Transporter is responsible for the movement of customer boats on the water and transporting via truck to our facility. This position will also be responsible for mapping the lot in digital form and managing the location of each boat and trailer. In addition, this position will also be coordinating facility maintenance such as lot clean-up, fork truck and truck maintenance coordination, etc.
At N3 Boatworks, you will be part of a team of people who love boats and being on the water. We work hard, but our business is fun, and we believe in rewarding hard work. Our service department cannot run smoothly without you.
A typical day on the job will include vehicle, equipment, machinery, facility and grounds maintenance, as well as loading, unloading, parking and staging boats.
